On April 11, The TSTC Foundation launched the very first digital Giving Day campaign for TSTC. The effort united TSTC employees, alumni and local community members to raise funds for campus food pantries statewide. The overwhelming response resulted in smashing our statewide fundraising goal. In total, we raised $21,984 in one-time and recurring monthly gifts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to those who participated to help the neediest of our beloved students.

The TSTC Foundation focuses on strengthening the relationship between the College, our students, and industry partners. This year, we officially launched the Annual Corporate Campaign. This recognition program provides opportunities for industry donors to meet and interact with our students and develop pipelines to accomplish TSTC’s mission: Placing More Texans in Great Paying Jobs. More than 150 corporate partners joined us in that effort in the inaugural year, with many more looking to join their ranks in the coming year. Through these efforts, we are redefining how higher education views corporate philanthropy. We are forever indebted to those who trusted and supported us.

TSTC is a family. The camaraderie built over the years extends to all edges of the state. Our TSTC employee donors are a cherished class of superheroes who see first-hand what impact donor dollars can make for students in need.

The TSTC Foundation would like to thank those who donate through the Employee Giving Campaign. Without these gifts, we would not be able to fill in the gaps for basic living necessities and tuition.

TSTC in Waco hosted its first Lineworker Rodeo competition in July. The TSTC Foundation worked in conjunction with the campus to facilitate the event that brought 50 industry partners together to watch 85 students compete for top prize. Employers had the opportunity to see workforce-ready students in real time throughout the day. The success of the event showcases the significance of working together to push TSTC’s mission of Placing More Texans in Great Paying Jobs forward.
